There's more to media duplication than just copying a DAT tape or floppy disk. The fact is, the quality control process begins prior to even a single copy being produced. Here at DiskTech we commence with a full verification of your master media. Bit placement, track alignment and virus scanning are just some of the tests performed before any copying begins.

Once the master media (which we call the "Grand Master") conforms to these integrity tests, we produce an exact "bit image" copy of it. This "image" is then written to the target media and read-back to verify that it is in fact and exact and true copy. This first copy then becomes known as the "Duplication Master" from which all subsequent copies are made. The Grand Master is stored in our Class 1 security safe in case it is required later on in the process.

The reason we produce a Duplication Master is to minimise any unnecessary handling of your master media - it is the one true original and is always used as the common reference point of any media duplication. Once the duplication process begins, every target media passes through the full verification process, thus ensuring an error free production run.

All media supplied by DiskTech is certified beyond the Australian standard.

As a result, we can offer you a wider range of target media along with impartial and practical advice on your choice of media, labelling and packaging options. If you wish, you may also supply the media for your duplication. You are in complete control of your duplication requirements.
